Community Restorative Circle
New Partnership with National Conflict Resolution Center
The Gifts and Challenges of
Catching Stones
Building on the work we have done with The Equity Journey, FORTIFY: The Racial Justice Series and in the spirit of Project Stone Catcher, we will be hosting a virtual community circle for nonprofit leaders working in (or wanting to work in) the areas of social justice and equity. This program will allow participants to share
- personal perspectives, thoughts, and feelings on being a social justice leader,
- what it means to be a stone catcher, and
- how this important work is showing up in their world.
A community circle is a unique and special space that invites authenticity, courage, and human-to-human connection. Grounded in ancient practices, community circles have been used by communities to share burdens, solve problems, and celebrate together. In this space everyone is valued equally and we draw on collective wisdom for the benefit of the entire community. In circle we not only hear one another, we hear ourselves more deeply, and strengthen our bonds as a community of people supporting one another in life-giving and life-changing work.
Fieldstone Leadership Network San Diego is pleased to be partnering with the National Conflict Resolution Center in bringing this program to San Diego’s nonprofit sector. All participants will have the opportunity to secure funding to host their own community circles for their nonprofit agencies. This program is funded by a grant from the County of San Diego.
This is a unique opportunity for nonprofit professionals to experience this reflective and community building practice, build their resiliency and their network of like-hearted leaders while exploring possibilities to bring this experience to their organization with provided underwriting.
The program is January 29, 2021 from 10 am to 12 noon. Program fee is $15 and includes a “Catcher” stone. Register Here
